More About This Website

This is my effort to share my thoughts with readers about concerns facing our country today.  I believe there is a good chance my grandchildren may be the first generation in the history of this great country not to have a better standard of living than their parents. If so, our generation is to blame. The clock is running out for damage control. .

Warning From A Plane Crash Survivor

In 1989 I survived the UA 232 crash in Iowa. It was caused by a mechanical failure. A blade from a turbine broke off and went through the hydraulic lines at a junction where all the lines met taking out all the hydraulics on the DC 10. The heroic efforts of the cockpit crew and a pilot passenger, Captain Denny Fitch kept the plane in the air and saved me and many other passengers. Many others on the flight were not so lucky. Without Captain Al Haynes and his remarkable crew ,I would not be here to know my 6 grandchildren.

Yesterday a Qantas airlines plane had a huge hole open in the fuselage. Luckily all souls on board were safe.

Thanks to Al Gore, Congress, Senator Obama,  and rabid environmentalists we might see more of this. The lack of an energy strategy has caused jet fuel prices to skyrocket. It is going to get worse, not better. Planes don't fly on yet undiscovered renewable fuels. They fly on fossil fuels. The very material the Gores and other aforementioned fools want to stop using.

As the already cash strapped airlines dip deeper into the red and cash flow dries up, they will keep the aging fleet in the air. This is a fallout of the energy crisis you don' t hear much about. You hear about flights being cut, employees laid off, and airline profits becoming huge losses.  Ticket prices going to a place where the average person can't afford to fly. This doesn't bother Al and Congress and the elitists who are the root cause of the problem since they fly private jets. But, it should bother you.

When the serious problems start none of the people who created the problems will come forward. It will be the airlines who take the heat.

If you are against all the proposals on the table for increasing our domestic energy production, give this some serious thought. We are destroying our air travel future. We are painting the airlines into a corner. They can either stretch the time they use the old fleet or go out of business. Risks will be taken that wouldn't'  be taken if they had cash to invest capital in new aircraft and take the old ones out of service.

If something doesn't change and change soon, I will not be flying. I've had my crash and I'm very lucky to have the last 19 years to enjoy all I've experienced. I won't be taking risks in a few years when we see what our government and the other dreamers who are committed to destroying our lifestyles and the American Dream get their wishes.
